What is Serious Play? What sounds like an oxymoron, to me is a paradoxical pair that is at the core of meaningful BDSM play.
There is a subtle but important difference between playing a role and truly inhabiting it. That's where serious play comes in: Just like a child that does not simply pretend to be a pirate or an astronaut, but becomes that part fully. No other reality exists.
